The Observation centre was opened 5 years ago and started out as a way to observe and study the bees in their natural habitat with the eye on improving natural conditions for optimal honey production.
Since then the centre has served many purposes and has evolved into a busy space where many a child was intrigued and amused by the complex but interesting life-cycle of the humble honey bee.
The centre offers opportunity to get personally involved in the life of a bee. They learn how a hive protects their bees, how the bees are for the queen and raise and protect their young.
Tours are on offer and with prior booking arrangements school groups are welcome to visit.
